We are excited to share that PLAN has appointed Patricia St.Onge as Interim Executive Director. A long-time Oakland resident of Haudenosaunee (Mohawk) and Quebecois descent, Patricia has worked to support the progressive social justice movement for all of her adult life and has served as Interim Director for numerous nonprofits during times of transition. During the month of October, Patricia will work closely with Melia and the Board Transition Team to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities.
We are confident that Patricia’s collaborative and inclusive leadership approach and her wealth of experience in nonprofit organizational development will serve PLAN well as we continue the journey to choose the right leader for PLAN’s next decade and beyond. Patricia’s role will ensure that PLAN’s staff can continue the important work of empowering families to transform schools and PLAN’s board can facilitate an effective search process while continuing to build a strong foundation for the next phase of the organization’s growth.
We hope you will join us on October 15th for our Legacy Reception and Fundraiser to honor and celebrate Melia’s contributions welcome Patricia and build a strong base of support for PLAN’s future.
Yours in community,
Angelica Jonco, Board Chair Melia Franlkin, Founder / Executive Director
