The Thriving Families Fund offers assistance of up to $500 to our PLAN parent leaders and their families during the COVID-19 Pandemic as they face short-term emergencies. The decision to approve a family’s request is based upon need that is the result of the sudden and unexpected impact of the COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place orders across the Bay Area. This need must be demonstrated through an application to Bay Area PLAN.
How it works
To request assistance, an PLAN member or community member should submit an application here. We can also conduct an interview to complete an application for those who need assistance by leaving a message at 510-444-7526. You will receive a call back within 24 hours. All information is kept in the strictest confidence. Our team will review and approve applications on a regular basis. We will give gifts as long as the resources are available, however, we are actively fundraising.
Minimum criteria for gift approval include:
The parent member has engaged in PLAN or allies programs actively
The event causing the emergency occurred since March 12
The request is for short-term crisis-relief assistance
The event causing the emergency was sudden and unexpected
