Every Black, Latino and Immigrant kid deserves to have supportive, resourced community schools in their neighborhood and they deserve quality and effective economic support for the duration and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unfortunately, neither is absolutely true for Black, Latino and Immigrant kids and their families in the Bay Area. Instead, California leaders are slow to action and deaf to the pain of waiting for relief in Black, Latino and Immigrant communities. This needs to change immediately before a whole generation of kids and families are tossed into deep poverty with no way out.

California leaders have the power to invest more in Black, Latino and Immigrant kids and families. Local Schools Boards, City Councils and Mayors have millions and voice in the decisions about how our tax dollars are used to fund our community schools and economic recovery from COVID-19.

We need your donations and advocacy to support Black, Latino and Immigrant families to organize public school parents, guardians and educators to secure deep investments in our communities. Bay Area PLAN leaders have advocated EVERYDAY since the start of this Pandemic for California leaders to listen to Black, Latino and Immigrant families directly impacted by the spread of COVID-19. The solutions to the full recovery of our communities lies within our communities.

We need to raise $10,000 by January 31st to ensure that 100 Black, Latino and Immigrant parent and family leaders have the support to advocate and secure additional investments as California reports billions in surplus!
